Last week, I had a great experience speaking to the Leadership Delaware, Inc. 2024 Fellows (including one of our own - Christine Lowthert, Ed.D.) about Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware, leadership and organizational management. Year-after-year, Jennifer Cohan and team select some amazing Delawareans for an exciting journey learning about Delaware business, non-profits, government and so much more. For over a year, Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware has worked with US Senator Tom Carper and his staff to secure federal funding for three transformational projects at our Clarence Fraim, H. Fletcher Brown, and Laurel Clubs. I'm excited to report that last week Congress appropriated $2.85 million for these projects! Modern recreation/fitness facilities at these three Clubs will be game-changers for our members. Sen. Carper is shown here with Robin Roberts (our Chief Admin Officer) at a recent reception where he received the Lifetime Hero Award from Boys & Girls Clubs of America. We are also thankful for support from Sen. Chris Coons and Rep. Lisa Blunt-Rochester for these projects.

Last week members of our team joined hundreds of Boys & Girls Club advocates on Capitol Hill to advocate for our youth!
