Bridgewell’s Center for Professional Development provides high quality, skill-oriented seminars and consultation services designed to strengthen the knowledge and abilities of professionals in a variety of disciplines. Topics include sexuality and relationships for people with I/DD, ethics in human services, resiliency and the transition process for young adults with autism. Bridgewell is pleased to announce that our entire team is First Aid and CPR certified, thanks to Bridgewell’s Training Department! In the past, only staff in direct care roles were required to gain this certification. In 2024 and moving forward, Bridgewell has opted to make it mandatory for every employee who works for the organization. Bridgewell’s Training Department held 78 CPR/First Aid classes in 2024, training 580 employees who were due for recertification or gaining certification for the first time. Bridgewell also started providing Basic Life Support training for staff with medical certifications (like RNs and LPNs).

Bridgewell’s Community Based Day Supports program loves to venture out into the community and explore learning and volunteer opportunities! Congratulations to Ken and Rosie on their retirements! Five years ago, Ken joined Bridgewell as the Chief Financial Officer a few weeks prior to the Covid-19 pandemic. His knowledge and guidance helped navigate the pandemic financially and for his time at Bridgewell. For over twenty-two years, Rosie has worked in Bridgewell’s finance department as the Senior Staff Accountant. Her role has grown as Bridgewell’s services and budget has expanded in the past two decades. Ken and Rosie, thank you for the tremendous impact you have made over the course of your careers. We wish you both all the best as you begin these new chapters!

Bridgewell’s Headquarters has been getting into the holiday spirit with celebrations throughout the month.
