Our second annual ReeFLorida Symposium really set the bar high! Over 185 top experts, resource managers, and passionate advocates came together from November 12 - 15 to share their latest research and strategies to better protect and manage Florida's Coral Reef. We would like to offer a special shoutout to Mayor Daniella Levine Cava for recognizing ReeFLorida at Frost Science Day! Your support highlights the vital conservation work our team does to create a future-ready community through science education and collaborative research. From incredible speakers like Florida’s Chief Resilience Officer Dr. Wesley R. Brooks to panelists like Miami-Dade County's Chief Bay Officer Loren Parra, MBA and Monroe County’s Holly Merrill Raschein to coral experts Angela Delaney and Katelyn Armstrong, these discussions were inspiring and action driven. We'd like to extend a big thank you to Miami Herald's Alex Harris for moderating our “Protecting Florida’s National Treasure” panel. We had an amazing time and can’t wait to continue this journey together! ReeFLorida Symposium 2024 was proudly sponsored by NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration, Reef Aquaria Design (RAD), The Nature Conservancy, BRIGHTMARK, mayor Daniella Levine Cava, and Two Little Fishies.
