Celebrating Black History Month this year Arcadis was another one for the books. Myself and Sheri Shai PIEMA REnvP got the opportunity to organize and host the Bristol office event; thankfully we had a successful event. Thanks to our speaker Karl Brown for graciously accepting our invitation and sharing a bit about himself and the work he is doing especially at the Bristol Property Inclusion Charter with us and speaking about the importance of this year’s theme “Reclaiming Narratives” everyone enjoyed that session. We learnt some very interesting facts about black history, had good food and great conversations. It's great to finally see Karl Brown's series live on Praktis - we really enjoyed hearing about Karl's story and how the Bristol Property Inclusion Charter came into being and we're sure our subscribers will too. Lots of references to Bristol as well for a local flavour which is always a good thing!

Thank you to Ronny Popat of Vistry Group and Fuad Mahamed for being the speakers at last night's inaugural Bristol Property and Construction Lecture. The theme was "Why Representation Matters". The speeches and follow up discussion were great and showed how keen the Bristol Property industry is to be even more diverse and inclusive. Thank you to everyone who volunteered to be experts or mentors for the Bristol Property Foundation Class held with students from Orchard School (Horfield, Bristol) last week. Thank you also for your support of Bristol Property Inclusion Charter. Thank you also University of the West of England for hosting and to Bristol City Council (through Bristol Works) for your support. A great example of the Bristol Property industry working together to show opportunities and raise aspirations for younger generations in Bristol.
