Fantastic news, we’ve reached a major milestone in Brookfield’s first Australian logistics asset with the completion of the remarkable Connect Central Sydney Logistics Estate at Villawood in Sydney’s central west. The success of this 12.6 hectare development at 2 Christina Road is reflected in the quality of the warehousing and the positive lease up as we welcome Ninja Logistics, Kerry Logistics, Honest to Goodness, Scope Joinery, Ricky Richards, FJT Logistics, Seima and Euro Car Parts to the estate. A huge amount of people and work has gone into this fantastic project with special thanks going Brookfield Asset Management - Asia Pacific, Time & Place, Vaughan Constructions and CBRE Industrial & Logistics. The fundamentals for logistics in Australia remains compelling, and we are committed to our continuing expansion in the sector.   I am extremely proud to have led the Brookfield Properties development team on this project and look forward to sharing some more good news shortly !!! Creating a positive impact in our communities is at the heart of what we do. Recently, our teams across North America engaged in two meaningful initiatives that showcase our commitment to social responsibility. In Toronto, the #BrookfieldPropertiesCanada team volunteered at the Toronto Humane Society, where they packed food bags for the local pet food bank while spending time with wonderful animals in need. Our volunteers learned that many pets were surrendered during the COVID-19 pandemic, and this trend continues as financial challenges persist for families. In Austin, our team partnered with HomeAid Austin to support Austin Diaper Bank where they helped to prepare diaper bundles to be delivered to caregivers in need. Together, they bundled around 7,888 diapers! The #BrookfieldProprtiesinLondon team unveiled new installations and artworks that glow with creativity and inspire interaction; encouraging the community to engage with art in dynamic ways and explore the vibrant spaces around them. Through January 6, 2025, the #IlluminoCity Light Festival will transform the plazas at Citypoint and Principal Place into immersive stages for light and sound. Visitors can enjoy interactive installations like “Trumpet Flowers” and “Glow,” where they can engage with the artworks and create their own unique experiences. Additionally, the Earth & Angels exhibition at 30 Fenchurch features compelling works by Day Bowman and Gerry Judah, curated by Jenny Blyth, addressing critical global issues and inspiring meaningful dialogue. Our teams harnessed the unifying power of art to create shared spaces that celebrate diverse voices while also supporting NGO missions. The #BrookfieldPropertiesinBrazil team and Potsdamer Platz in Berlin collaborated with local artists and community organizations to leverage creativity in meaningful ways. In São Paulo, a partnership with artist Luan Ribeiróvisk transformed the façade of a seven-story garage at Luggo Piqueri into a mural that celebrates Brazil’s native fauna and flora. 🌱Through this project, funds were raised for accessibility and structural improvements at local NGOs, Projeto Amigos Da Crianca and NGO Tijolinho. In Berlin, Potsdamer Platz unveiled its latest mural, Seeds of Light, created by Carolina Amaya.
