We participated in the Buddie-Pack - contribution to the EU plastics strategy project, funded by the new Horizon Europe programme, and coordinated by the IPC - Centre Technique Industriel de la Plasturgie et des Composites. Our colleague Lorena Rodríguez presented this European project at ALL4PACK EMBALLAGE PARIS, an event in Paris (France) that brought together the main players in the packaging and intralogistics sector.

📢 Do not miss out our 9 public deliverables that have been added recently in the resources section on our website 👉 you can find them here : https://lnkd.in/egbQzEHH 📚 These reports cover a wide range of critical topics, and we would like to highlight a few key insights: - Legislative Policy and Socio-Economic Framework (D1.1): A detailed report on the barriers and opportunities for reusable plastic packaging (RPP) across Europe. - Stakeholder Recommendations (D1.2): Practical solutions to address the industrial and economic needs along the entire value chain. - Technical and Economic Specifications (D1.3): A closer look at the materials, designs, and cost considerations for developing reusable packaging. - Life Cycle and Cost Analyses (D7.2): Preliminary screenings on environmental, economic, and social impacts, with full assessments to come. - Consumer interactions with reuse systems (D 2.1) : identification of factors that influence whether and how consumers reuse packaging and containers. 💡 These deliverables offer valuable information on the European legislative landscape, technical feasibility, and sustainability of RPP, making them essential for industry leaders, policymakers, and researchers alike. ⏳ More exciting reports are in the pipeline, covering topics like advancements in new packaging materials (check out our first scientific publication! https://lnkd.in/e-miA3YE), and decontamination methods achieving up to 95% effectiveness. Dear followers, 👏 We are very proud to announce that Justine Gloz from IPC - Centre Technique Industriel de la Plasturgie et des Composites, coordinator of the Buddie-Pack project will deliver a speech about the circularity assessment of reusable packaging during the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) Europe 26th LCA Symposium, which will take place from 21st to 23rd October 2024, in Gothenburg, Sweden. 🗓️ The presentation is scheduled on Wednesday 23/10/2024, 08:45 AM - 10:15 AM ▶️ The theme for this year's symposium is: “Making LCA Meaningful: Good Data, Better Models, Sustainable Decisions”.
