An exciting collaboration is coming together! A selection of Build Torbay employers, stakeholders and partners came together today at Torquay United FC, to take part in a Build Torbay Hackathon. The Hackathon was facilitated by Studio Zao (Impact Torbay, Torbay Council UK Shared Prosperity Fund). The group is working together collaboratively on a tangible, needs-led solution to address the short, medium and longer term skills needs for the Torbay construction sector. It was a productive morning full of ideas, solutions and commitment to support the construction sector. Thank you to everyone who took part. Exciting times, watch this space for future updates! Strong start to the day from the Build Torbay steering group. Fuelled with coffee and pastries, we worked through a packed agenda including; project updates, funding for barriers in construction, and recruitment, retention and attraction of talent to fill skills gaps in our industry. Fairhurst offers civil, structural, geotechnical, transportation, planning, landscape, water, health and safety and mining services.
