BET believes our strengths include the ability to focus on the underlying engineering issues. We apply a holistic approach to building envelope systems that enables us to provide our clients with sustainable structures using affordable building technology. BET is an architectural engineering firm formed by seasoned professionals who recognize that today’s building profession challenges demand, not only technical confidence and effective management, but also precise communication. We focus on meeting this challenge for our clients. BET is experienced in every aspect of building enclosure systems’ technology. More specifically, our experience includes roofs, facades; fenestration, curtainwalls, waterproofing, and such other building elements as may be associated with the construction and preservation of building exteriors. Once a middle school in Hyde Park, this historic building has been reconstructed as the first LGBTQ+ affirming income-restricted community in New England, offering 74 vibrant, accessible units. The project includes shared areas including a sunroom, library, art gallery, a multi-purpose room, designed to foster connections amongst the residents. The interior is thoughtfully designed with elements inspired by the Pride flag, incorporating its colors into pieces of furniture, doors, light fixtures, and room accents to create an inclusive atmosphere. Outside, a landscaped courtyard with multiple seating areas and a walking track provides space for relaxation and exercise. This community honors both the building's history and its new role as a sanctuary for the LGBTQ+ senior community, offering a safe, supportive space for residents to live and connect.
