Last week, Assistant Secretary Matt Axelrod spoke at the Atlantic Council & Atlantik-Brücke’s Transatlantic Forum on GeoEconomics with Kimberly Donovan (Atlantic Council), FinCEN Director Andrea Gacki and David Reed, Director for Sanctions at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (UK). Today marks a significant step in protecting our national security. The Department of Commerce has released a proposed rule aimed at protecting connected vehicle supply chains from potential foreign adversary threats. Matt Borman has been promoted to Principal DAS, Eric Longnecker -- after nearly 20 years with BIS -- is our DAS for Technology Security, and Julia Khersonsky will bring a wealth of knowledge of export controls from State’s ISN team to serve as DAS for Strategic Trade.
