Updates

  • Its been a crazy three weeks since we opened our new Placerville, CA spot. After over a year of work rehabilitating an old abused building, we also crafted practically everything you see in the space — the entire bar structure, the tables, the indoor/outdoor slabs under the roll-ups, and more. All from reclaimed wood that normally ends up in the waste stream. This location is our opportunity to let you taste our spirits in cocktail form. We have gin and vodka cocktails using house made syrups and liquours. A small kitchen provides fast casual food that pairs nicely with our beer, wine, and cocktail selection.

Distiller at Burning Barrel Brewing & Spirits

Our craft, our passion, our tireless effort to create something truly unique and breathtaking have culminated in an extraordinary product. We are thrilled to announce the debut of our first spirit: Ghost Pine Gin. Burning Barrel is known for its relentless pursuit of cultivating unique flavors within our craft. Ghost Pine is a classic gin with a California twist, distilled with botanicals grown in some of the rarest soils on earth. We forage multiple botanicals from the Pine Hill gabbro soils found on our family’s ranch in El Dorado County California. With only 30,000 acres within the gabbro island, this ecosystem is home to a number of rare and endangered plant species that thrive within these lands. We leave the threatened species alone, but carefully hand-harvest numerous unique botanicals to craft a harmonious blend that promises an exceptional spirit experience. We plan on having our first experience and bottle sale towards the end of June. This will be a ticketed event, allowing a select number of guests to experience our gin and walk through the distillery with our team. More details will be posted in the coming weeks for you to get a chance to join us. If you care to follow our journey, check out Burning Barrel Brewing on Facebook and Instagram, as well as Burning Barrel Spirits.
