Meanwhile, in Atlanta... We love when members of Black Women On Boards tell us they're organically meeting close to home and in more intimate settings for added community building -- a perfect balance to when we have hundreds of leaders meeting in one room. Soaring ever higher!

About us
Black Women on Boards (BWOB) is an organization that aims to remove the invisible obstacles that Black female executives face when pursuing board seats. Warm congratulations to our Co-Founder, Robin Washington, on being appointed as President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer (COFO) of Salesforce, effective March 21! She will remain on the Salesforce board of directors, which she joined in 2013, and where she’ll have served as the Lead Independent from 2022 to 2025. Members of Black Women On Boards are proud to be in her orbit, deeply grateful for the many ways she inspires and encourages us to always think bigger and always give back.

"We are tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly." The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., writing from Birmingham in April 1963, whom we join in honoring and remembering on this National Day of Service. Jan. 15 would have been his 96th birthday in Atlanta. He was just 39 years old the day his life ended in Memphis in April 1968. #Leadership #MLKDay

In celebration of Giving Tuesday on Dec. 3 -- kicking off a full season of giving -- we invite you to join us in lighting the way for the next generation of high-performing, high-potential Black women who are on a journey to their first C-Suite role. The registered nonprofit organization's name to know is Black Women on Boards Rising Foundation. We encourage you to learn more about it and donate online via the link in comments below, accelerating greatness in our midst. Proud to be in community with you, as always, and you have our thanks, as always. #BWOBRising #GivingTuesday

Shape the future of boardrooms, yes. But first, brunch! What an honor and joy to partner with Him For Her and Barry Lawson Williams this weekend to introduce good people to more good people. Thanks to all who create such magic, to all who lift as they climb, and to all who help us envision an even bigger future for ourselves. #Leadership #Gratitude

It’s the MC who sets the tone and pace for any event and we were so fortunate to have Felica Coney from Google in Atlanta join us to do that in such an extraordinary way in Charlotte, North Carolina for Black Women On Boards Summit No. 1 of 2 this October. The fact that she used to live and work there in the Queen City even made for a nice homecoming of sorts. Her prior leadership roles have included Walmart, Collins Aerospace, United Technologies, and Procter & Gamble, and she currently serves on the board of Simpson Strong-Tie. Our thanks to her and all our guest speakers for such a high altitude experience together! We lift our lamp in joyful anticipation of next week's Black Women On Boards summit in NYC, one of two of them happening this month given past demand. Looking forward to catching up with longtime friends and to making new ones as we gather for an epic day of growth and community with fellow leaders in Manhattan. We all have something to learn, and we all have something to teach, right? Always lifting as we rise, always shaping the future of boardrooms. #BWOBsummit

Thanks to Black Women On Boards member Dianna Renea Jones from Uber for hosting a robust Talent Landscape panel conversation at our recent Driving Innovation event at Lucid Motors. We were proud to feature the insights of some of the top venture capital Talent Partners and thought leaders in Silicon Valley: David Belden from Andreessen Horowitz, Jenny Kang from Battery Ventures and Elizabeth Arnsdorf Patterson from Sapphire Ventures. Our thanks to all of you. Together, their firms have roughly $70 Billion in assets under management and work with approximately 1,300 portfolio companies, so we’re deeply grateful for their seasoned perspectives on a wide range of key topics. #innovation #leadership #lucidair
