Cabrera Capital Markets hosted Loyola University Chicago’s Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) chapter in its Chicago office last week to continue the conversation about career opportunities in investment banking. In this informational session, students learned best practices on how to get an internship in finance from our HR generalist Leesia Mckeithen. The group then heard directly from Cabrera Capital Markets leadership, including Dave Mishoe, Head of Global Equities, Michael W. Morgan, Head of Taxable Fixed Income, Jason Frank, Head of Advisory, Santino Bibbo, Head of Corporate Finance and Cabrera Capital Partners’ Principal, Mark Kirincich. This was a terrific way to give students who are interested in finance a glimpse of what their career can look like in the future. This session ended with Q&A led by HR, our Department Heads, and President, Robert Aguilar, followed by a tour of the office.

Nearly 100 CHA college students joined representatives from 18 Chicago-area corporations, including BMO Harris, the Obama Foundation, and Cabrera Capital Markets, for the agency’s annual Take Flight Networking and Recruiting event. Sponsored by Springboard To Success, CHA’s non-profit partner, the check-in event is designed to keep CHA scholars on track to obtaining a degree and gaining access to 2024 internship and employment opportunities. In addition to networking opportunities, students were offered resume reviews, raffles, and professional headshots. Watch the Take Flight video here: https://lnkd.in/gUJ-a7YZ
