Our year-long work on behalf of artists and creatives is a labor of love. Through CA for the Arts and CA Arts Advocates, we link field building, advocacy, and policy development to shape the future of creativity. As the movement for creativity grows to every corner of the state, we need your support to continue leading the fight. According to our 2024 California Arts Advocacy Field Survey, California’s creative community seeks to build the future in three distinct ways: ▶️Collaboration within the field ▶️Cross-sector collaborations ▶️ Coalition-building. Together, arts advocates have been leading the charge. Through building relationships with elected officials, we have found new lines of funding and new cross-sector partnerships on both the local and state levels. We achieved momentous milestones - from establishing pandemic reopening guidelines for the arts to securing historic levels of relief funding; to establishing programs like California Performing Arts Nonprofit Paymaster and the forthcoming Equitable Payroll Fund; to having the Governor identify the arts and creative economy as strategic industries to strengthen in California. Our 2030 goal is to mobilize our diverse communities to develop public policies where arts and culture serve as drivers of community health and economic development. Notably, 70% of survey respondents said that diversifying and increasing sources of state funding for the arts through cross-sector initiatives is a top policy priority. When you support our work, we have time to build the necessary cross-sector partnerships and local networks. Start the new year as a member. Help us advance creative solutions across government sectors. Creativity is at the table because of the unwavering support of members like YOU!
