I promise (and have the time stamps to prove it!) that I wrote this blog post about the Wizard of Oz before I even knew there was a Wicked movie on the horizon. This Cahen Ambler Blog post is about the CliftonStrengths #Focus talent and how Dorothy is a great example of it. I promise I will see Wicked soon and write a follow-up post. Let me know your thoughts! https://lnkd.in/gTfPjSPK

I went on episode 140 of the "Lunch with Biggie" podcast with my good friend Anthony "Biggie" Bencomo. Lunch with Biggie is a podcast about Small Business and creatives sharing their stories. Some highlights 🍔 - We talked about sandwiches, as they are central to Biggie's Deli Fresh Threads sandwich-themed clothing brand that I've been fortunate to see grow from its inception 📝 - Biggie gave me space to talk about my Cahen Ambler Consulting business and my work as a Gallup Certified CliftonStrengths Coach. We explored his unique talents and how that's helped him grow his business. 🎃 - I am thrilled to announce that I lightly dunked on how some people talk on this website, why it's important to "TLARP" (an acronym I made up) and how making posts like these makes me feel. Check out the clip and the link below, the full episode is available everywhere the internet reaches https://lnkd.in/ek6GXqHK

Thank you to Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida and Krysteena Downes, SHRM-SCP for the invitation to lead another CliftonStrengths workshop for your team members. This was the 4th time I've had the honor of facilitating a workshop at Second Harvest, an organization that does such amazing work. Today I had a great group of talented people, sure made my job easy!

In May 2024, more than half (51%) of all U.S. employees were watching for or actively seeking a new job. Fortunately, new longitudinal research from Gallup and Workhuman finds that much of this turnover is preventable: Employees who receive high-quality recognition feel more connected to their organization's culture and are more likely to remain at their organization long term. In fact, employees who received high-quality recognition, as defined by the five pillars of strategic recognition, were 45% less likely to have left their organization after two years. Although senior leaders increasingly acknowledge the power of recognition, there is still room for growth. Currently, 46% of employees don't receive feedback from their manager as often as they'd like, and over half (55%) of U.S. employees either don't receive recognition at all or receive recognition that fails to meet any of the five pillars of strategic recognition. Explore how strategic recognition can transform your retention strategy and keep your top talent engaged for the long term. https://lnkd.in/gKdC-eQM

If Ideation and Strategic are in your top 10, you naturally generate creative ideas and analyze those ideas to determine the best path forward. You embrace innovation and can see connections, patterns and possibilities while you cut through clutter to prioritize what is most efficient and effective. Your combination of creativity and strategic thinking can lead to thoughtful new approaches to the challenges you and others face. How do you use your Ideation and Strategic together in different situations?
