Register to attend a tech vendor forum focused on solutions for #LAfires survivors on February 19, 2025. In early 2025, communities in the Los Angeles area were devastated by a firestorm. The Newsom Administration initiated a whole of government response to support wildfire response and now recovery. Agencies and departments have coalesced to be responsive and proactive to accelerate the recovery process. We know technology is only as good as the benefits it brings to people. To that end, California Government Operations Agency is inviting technology vendors to respond to four (4) survivor challenges. Upon review of responses, government leaders will select the most innovative solutions and invite those owner-developers to demonstrate their solution(s). Owner-developers of digital web features and services are invited to submit a response. Vendors considering a response are highly encouraged to attend a virtual vendor forum on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at 1:00 PM PST. Registration is required: https://lnkd.in/gDYfbS99 View the Notice of Opportunity: https://lnkd.in/gbCNuvJT #GovTech #CivicTech #PeopleFirst #TeamCDT

Building relationships and #BroadbandForAll. The Middle-Mile Broadband Initiative is working to bring reliable and affordable internet access to tribal communities in California, including the Karuk Tribe in Happy Camp. CDT leadership traveled to Happy Camp to learn more about the region and celebrate a joint-build partnership with the Karuk Tribe to build 46 miles of broadband fiber in Humboldt County. During the visit, our team learned why this project is so important to the people who live in the area and how it will change their lives for the better. #DigitalEquity #CA4All
