  • At CCA, our commitment to #Sustainability extends beyond mere words. It’s about action, responsibility, and making a positive impact. One crucial aspect of our #Sustainabilitystory revolves around #wastemanagement — ensuring that we handle our waste responsibly and diligently. Recently, a team from CCA embarked on a journey to Baltimore, Maryland, seeking firsthand insights into our scrap metal recycling process. Led by key members, including Robert Gatz (VP & GM), Robert Fryer (Materials Manager), Kristina Huskey (Customer Service), & Rubana Suthakar (TGC Sustainability Manager), we visited AMG Resources Corporation. This facility is renowned for its expertise in processing both ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal. Our focus? Tin-plated steel—a material integral to our operations. We witnessed how this steel is meticulously separated and prepared for recycling, ultimately transforming into new steel and tin products. The remarkable part? Tin-plated steel can be recycled infinitely, without compromising quality. Through this experience, we reaffirm our commitment to sustainable practices. By recycling responsibly, we contribute to a cleaner environment and a brighter future for generations to come. 🌱🌎

Over the weekend, Robert Gatz (VP/GM) and Timothy Sitarik (Technical Services Manager) from Can Corporation Of America, Inc. including our wives Dawn and Anne in partnership with Fleet Feet West Reading, PA and their running community participated in the 4-mile Teddy Bear Trot. Supporting The Opportunity House in Reading, PA with record attendance, 120+ bears were trotted/ran into the city…not to mention plenty of shoes and blanket donations. Very fun and heartwarming event…as an added plus, record high temperatures for February really helped!
