“How many of you have worked for someone with low emotional intelligence?” I ask this question every time I conduct a leadership seminar and like clockwork hands go up from people in crowd. Emotional intelligence is studied, discussed, and trained but are we holding leaders accountable for displaying it? The evidence is clear when listening to our folks that the answer is no. That needs to change… Thank you Justin Wright for providing these 8 simple ways to display EQ and there are many more!

Truly a great read… Being THAT leader for everyone requires you to lead in an inclusive fashion. Be intentional about learning how to do that. #LeadershipMatters
Many individuals seek guidance, wanting ideas and direction on how to be better leaders. A frequent question they ask is "Where do I start and how can I improve?" This is why the title "How to be an Inclusive Leader" includes the word "How". In my years of working with leaders from various industries, I've learned that understanding how to begin this journey is the most critical factor in making genuine progress toward inclusion. While some of us are consistently thinking about fairness, privilege, equity, and advocacy, others may not be aware of these topics at all or may have only vague knowledge about them. Regardless, as leaders, we all have a responsibility to improve our knowledge, skills, and competencies to support our colleagues and companies better. If you're asking yourself this question, I encourage you to grab a copy of the second edition of How to be an Inclusive Leader! https://a.co/d/iN9GK8M #InclusiveLeadership #LeadershipDevelopment #ProfessionalDevelopment

Suicide Awareness Month I often mention when I am conducting leadership seminars that I can’t go anywhere month without hearing about another suicide. August ended with another story of a person taking their own life and this time it was someone that I knew. I don’t have the answer to this problem. I don’t think anyone does. All we can do is raise the awareness of suicide up and ask leaders to do all they can to be the difference. It might not save all but it will definitely save some! #IntrusiveLeadership #TheWayYouLeadMatters https://lnkd.in/eDv-72aW

Imposter Syndrome is real and leaders can be the solution! We have to stop telling people how to fix their own issues with imposter syndrome, and start telling leaders to engage and be intrusive. Leaders can be the difference!!!
The people you lead need your help to deal with imposter syndrome effectively, so they can experience #wellbeing and success at work. Here’s how #leaders like you can help people overcome imposter syndrome.: https://lnkd.in/ekNb3TRn #leadership #wellbeingatwork
