Don’t fall for these common text scam tactics: • Impersonation • Sense of urgency, especially financial. • Link shorteners like bit.ly, shorturl.at, and many others. Instead, stop and think: • Is this person or company really who they say they are? Do they normally contact me this way? • Don’t I get an email or app notification for orders? (P.S. Set up card notifications for extra security!) • Go straight to the source instead of clicking links. Log in the normal way, and type web addresses yourself—even if they look legit. 💡 Strong cyber defenses start with awareness—it’s not just for us professional nerds.
