I made the Cx-Spectra for a customer in 2021...it was my first time using this technique of stainless damascus, layered with a Diamond-Like Carbon coating finish. ☠️ In Latin, spectra means "apparitions," the word "spectra" was strictly used to designate spirit images after a ghost appeared. It is the plural of the word “Spectrum.” In the realm of razors, the Cx-Spectra conjures spirits of tradition and beauty. Like an apparition, its presence is ethereal yet powerful, leaving an indelible mark on the grooming experience. ⚔️ In the alchemy of the forge, Damascus steel emerged—a since lost material that transcends the ordinary, embodying a symphony of craftsmanship, innovation, and the promise of something special. The Cx-Spectra carries within its layers the echoes of ancient bladesmiths. Each fold and each layer is a tribute to the timeless craft where now stainless steel metamorphoses into a canvas of strength and artistry. The blade became a story, a living testament to the journey of resilience and beauty. The Damascus steel was custom forged for us 💎 DLC Brilliance: Coated in DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) the Cx-Spectra isn't just a razor; it's an apparition. Its deep, pitch black hue, dancing in harmony with the polished stainless steel, creates a mesmerizing contrast — a visual dialogue between a bright and dark allure. 🔥 Meticulous Revelation: The Cx-Spectra underwent a transformative journey. After forging, machining, acid etching and a DLC coating, we finaly hand-sanded this piece, unveiling the intricate details of the forged pattern. 🖤 Strength in Uniqueness: The Cx-Spectra was not mass-produced; a singular hero in the world of razors. It was a ritual of revelation, where the spirit of the forge breathed life into every contour, making this razor truly one-of-a-kind.
