Introducing Cardano Delegated Representatives (DReps) #5 It’s that time of the week again – the 5th edition of DRep introductions. Take a look at this week’s highlighted DReps: Cardanolotus: “My goal is to protect and preserve Cardano’s ethos, support true decentralization, and ensure governance proposals align with its principles. I am also committed to voting for the right projects and innovations to ensure Cardano operates effectively across all aspects." https://lnkd.in/eFJcJ7xd STAKEPOOL GOMA: “The GOMA DRep vision is to foster a transparent, inclusive, and accountable governance environment that prioritizes the well-being of the community and the long-term success of the ecosystem." https://lnkd.in/eAxrgSC2 Joy & Hope pool: “Based on my expertise in software law and policy, I wanted to apply governance on an actual blockchain network. I want to do my best as a DRep to reflect the opinions of people with various perspectives in the community as appropriately as possible.” https://lnkd.in/e46egPdi Rodrigo Oyarzun: “Governance is about progress, not perfection. I believe in creating an inclusive and evolving process that empowers communities to contribute to decision-making. I want to be a DRep because I believe in the transformative potential of blockchain technology and want to represent voices that drive innovation and transparency in governance.” https://lnkd.in/e3xvCzHX Wepngong Maureen: “I believe governance should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their stake size, technical knowledge, or language. My journey from 39 ADA to DRep status taught me that every voice matters, and good ideas can come from anywhere. Also, all governance decisions should be explained in clear, understandable language. Not technical jargon that excludes people from the conversation. If it can’t be explained simply, it hasn’t been explained well enough.” https://lnkd.in/eUjHuAcU Wada: “For each governance action, the team pays attention to details in ensuring that the interest of the proposal is in alignment with the broader interest of the ecosystem. The key impacts of the proposal and its constitutionality are what inform a YES or ABSTAIN vote from our camp. However, we will unanimously vote NO on all proposals that portray interests that are in contrast with the ecosystem’s interests." https://lnkd.in/eeFztJTR Thinking of becoming a DRep or already registered but haven’t introduced yourself on the Cardano Forum? This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with the Cardano community, share your story, motivations, and your vision for contributing to governance. https://lnkd.in/ecrmsk3f

𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗸: 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀-𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 On 14 February 2023, at the start of epoch 394, Cardano reached a significant milestone with the launch of the Valentine Hard Fork. This intra-era upgrade introduced new built-in functions to Plutus, supporting ECDSA and Schnorr signatures over the SECP256k1 curve, which expands the network’s cross-chain interoperability by enabling secure verification of transactions from other blockchains. In doing so, it has enabled the development of cross-chain decentralized applications, opening new opportunities for developers and users alike. As we commemorate this milestone, we recognize Cardano’s ongoing evolution and its commitment to fostering a more connected and innovative blockchain future. Here is my interview in Uruguay 🇺🇾 🇺🇾 🇺🇾 I discuss the latest updates in Cardano, including the on-chain vote on the Constitution, the features of the Plomin Hard Fork and the reasoning behind its name, Cardano’s budget, Project Catalyst, past, present and future, and the most pressing debates. I also explain why we chose Uruguay for this event. Did you know that Uruguay had no delegates and applications to participate in the Constitutional Convention? Did you know that there are no publicly known Cardano ambassadors, SPOs, or DReps residing in Uruguay, despite the presence of several holders? We shared some statistics and figures to highlight this. That’s why we traveled there—to raise awareness, showcase the technical features that make Cardano unique, and promote the development of a local community led by its own people. The interview also includes a call to action for individuals who wish to engage with institutions such as Intersect, the Cardano Foundation, IOG, or any other organization within the ecosystem. Additionally, we encourage people to explore their own interests and preferred ways to contribute—whether through projects, governance, technical expertise, or any other area they find meaningful. It was a fantastic event! Here’s the interview with English subtitles.

If you are building on Cardano, you might be interested in knowing Cardano Foundation's HAL team has released version 4.0.0 of cardano-addresses, nearly 2 years and a half after the previous version. Highlights of this release are: * Support governance related keys and addresses for both CIP-105 and CIP-129 * Drop support for Javascript (there are now quite a few alternatives in JS/TS)
