On Friday, December 6, Team Volusia Economic Development Corporation held it's final Board of Directors Meeting for 2024. Chaired by our First Vice Chair, Randy Dye, we had a full agenda that included a vote to approve new Board member, Seacoast Bank, with Assigned Ambassador, Brandon Phillips; the introduction of previously approved new investors, Marci Murphy, CareerSource Brevard Flagler Volusia and Victor Ramos, West Volusia Association of REALTORS®, and the introduction of several new Board member designees: Tyler Sirois, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Alex Redkin, Charter Communications, Kevin Cowper, City Manager of New Smyrna Beach, Jeffrey Thurman, Interim City Manager of Edgewater, Samantha Bergeron MBA, FRA-RP, CPM, Chair of the TVEDC Practitioners Council. Featured presentations included The Future of Southeast Volusia, with E. Bliss Jamison, President, Southeast Volusia Manufacturing and Technology Coalition, Samantha Bergeron (City of New Smyrna Beach), and Mike Arman (City of Oak Hill), and some highlights on the City of DeBary Redevelopment, with Shari Simmans, Director, Economic Development, Communications & Government Affairs, City of DeBary. Additionally, our agenda included the President's Update by Keith Norden, and comments from our First Vice Chair, as well as an update on the nominating committee, by John Ferguson, TVEDC Legal Counsel.
