This is great for the idea of ‘circularity’, of course..the real question is whether this is enough: 1. How do you deal with the problem of microplastics, which seem to arrive from virgin or recycled materials? 2. Are you also promoting simply reducing use so that there’s less for us to deal with moving forward? We just can’t continue to make as much plastic even if it’s able to be managed more effectively. Ultimately we must move beyond circularity - our actions need to be circular + restorative + regenerative. If we don’t learn to operate within natural limitations, we are doomed.
It's no secret that pollution is a major risk to our oceans. Like nearly all divers, I’ve had the upsetting experience of wading through trash on a beach, witnessing more cups and cans than fish on a dive, and seeing a bottle cap in a crab's claws.
