About us
CASA DeKalb County is appointed by the DeKalb County Juvenile Court as the Guardian ad Litem (GAL) to 100% of children in DeKalb County who have experienced abuse or neglect and are involved in the court system through no fault of their own. Our organization utilizes volunteers from the community to be the voice for children in the courtroom and the eyes and ears of the judge outside of the courtroom.

January is National Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery Prevention Month. According to the National Center for Youth Law, research shows that a huge proportion of child victims of commercial sexual exploitation (at least half, and possibly as many as 98%) have been involved with the child welfare system. CASA provides a voice for these children in juvenile court, giving them hope for a better future. #EndTrafficking
