On #WorldAIDSDay, we're proud of our work in Lesotho addressing barriers to viral load suppression for children and adolescents living with HIV. The Know Your Child Approach enhances coordination and ensures communities and clinics work together for better HIV outcomes. Children and adolescents participating in the Know Your Child approach received coordinated care to address the barriers that kept them from achieving viral load suppression, and gained knowledge on their status, empowering them to participate in their own care. Meet Gabriel Ajpop Ixcoy from Guatemala. Along with his brother Macario, he has managed a poultry farm since 2023. CRS provided a small grant for a chicken coop, and the brothers successfully established and expanded their business. The positive impact on their community is also significant. They generate jobs for neighbors, providing two people with work each week on the farm. "We sell our products because people trust the quality of the locally produced eggs," Gabriel explains. Gabriel and Macario are inspiring examples of how collaboration, learning, and determination can transform not only individual lives but also the lives of their community. #SmallBusinessSaturday

Living with landmines is a reality for people in southern Senegal. This means there's a critical need to support people dealing with the loss of a limb. To date, over 50 victims of conflict-related trauma have received assistance thanks to funding from USAID. But there is more work to be done. An estimated 800 people are living with disabilities from injuries. https://bit.ly/4eCNqjn

Ongoing conflict, displacement, and economic challenges have plagued southern Senegal since the 1980s, but major strides have been made to create peace. With incredible resilience, people continue to push forward. We’ve equipped schools with printing materials, books, and more resources. We’re determined to see that children have what they need for a quality education amid the challenges. https://bit.ly/4eCNqjn USAID
