Cavnue is proud to announce completion of a historic commercial term sheet with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) to continue the development of the I-94 Connected and Automated Vehicle (CAV) Corridor — Michigan's first fully integrated “Smart Road” connecting Ann Arbor and Detroit. This critical step in developing the overall project provides the commercial framework for a phased deployment of advanced road technologies that support improved operations of both CAVs and non-CAVs within the I-94 median over multiple years with the goal of significantly enhancing road safety, improving traffic reliability, and driving economic growth through substantial private investment and the creation of thousands of regional jobs. This collaboration reinforces the State of Michigan's commitment to smart mobility and paves the way for a safer, more innovative transportation future. It was so great to have my dear friend Karl H. Reichelt (Chief Commercial Officer Cavnue) present at our program and to our Global Leaders in Construction Management fellows. We discussed many topics regarding the Evolution of Roads and a true case study on how Cavnue is transforming how we build roads. Cavnue is, without a doubt, the world’s leading smart road developer. Through performance-based road management contracts, Cavnue delivers digital and physical infrastructure improvements that enable the safe, efficient, and automated transportation of goods and people.
