  • In October, we hosted the on-campus summit for the Executive Program in Social Innovation Design program! The summit brought together a vibrant community of students, alumni, faculty, and industry leaders from three continents, representing diverse fields such as healthcare, public affairs, accessibility design, community engagement, city planning, and more. Throughout our time together, we witnessed the power of integrating diverse perspectives to create social change through thought-provoking personal stories and inspiring keynotes from Victor Calise, PLY, Shira Walinsky, Ben Jealous. Plus, we had hands-on workshops and a created a shared vision for designing sustainable and effective systems for a better world. A huge thank you to everyone who attended and made this event a success. Your energy and ideas continue to drive XSD's mission forward. Special thanks to our faculty directors, Sarah Rottenberg and Ariel Schwartz, for running the show and the incredible XSD team—Ukida, Carl, Ankita, and Jannate —for making it all happen! #Design #SocialInnovation #XSD #Penn #HumanCenteredDesign

Guiding leaders beyond the status quo to build human-centred workplaces where people thrive & performance follows | Leadership Coach, Consultant & Facilitator | Author: Leading Beyond the Numbers

✨ Celebrating 6 Months of Leading Beyond the Numbers! ✨ Six months ago, Leading Beyond the Numbers launched into the world — and what a journey it’s been! I’m beyondthrilled (and a little in awe!) that it hit the #1 spot in Amazon's Business Management & Leadership category, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with classics by Stephen Covey and Dale Carnegie. 📚 The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People has inspired readers since 1989. 📚 How to Win Friends and Influence People first appeared in 1936. And now Leading Beyond the Numbers — 2024’s fresh, human-centred take on leadership, asking leaders to not just measure, but truly value the unmeasurable: trust, empathy and well-being. It’s humbling to sit ahead of these legends, especially as a woman bringing her own lived experience to the table, challenging the “numbers-first” mindset that still dominates. Where Covey champions habits and Carnegie focuses on influence, Leading Beyond the Numbers is about integrating our whole selves—emotions included—into work. For everyone who’s read, shared, or reflected with me over the past 6 months — thank you. Let’s continue shaping workplaces that see people, not just numbers.  Here’s to the next chapter in creating a more fulfilling work-life!🌍✨ #WorkLife #Leadership #HumanCentred #EmotionalIntelligence #LeadingBeyondTheNumbers #AmazonBestseller #LeadershipDevelopment

Register now at bit.ly/sprk24 ! We look forward to seeing you there! 🌎 In the social impact space, where metrics and data drive decisions, it is crucial to remember that numbers don’t make decisions – people do. And our emotions play a role in decision-making, whether we acknowledge it or not. 🖥️ During the November virtual session, Susan will explore the vital connection between emotions and organizational performance, highlighting how understanding our body and brain's interconnections can positively influence people, performance, and impact. Just because feelings and emotions are invisible or intangible doesn’t mean they should be ignored. We are all emotional beings, and accounting for our emotions can increase our impact as leaders and help our people and organizations thrive. 💭 Speaker Bio- CSIS alumnus, leadership coach and facilitator Susan Ní Chríodáin, sits at the nexus of business and emotion. Susan founded Beyond the Numbers to revolutionize workplaces.
