Our rural communities face unique challenges, including population decline, lack of broadband access, child care, housing availability, and industry shifts. These challenges disproportionately affect older women and workers of color. At our Equity Summit last month, our panelists Cornelius Blanding, Executive Director at the Federation of Southern Cooperatives; Paul Rosson, Executive Director at the TENNESSEE ASSOCIATION OF HUMAN RESOURCE AGENCIES; and Nathaniel Smith, Founder and Chief Equity Officer at the Partnership for Southern Equity, discussed creative rural focused solutions that empower older workers and help to ensure equitable access to economic opportunity and good jobs.
