The Central Connecticut Coast YMCA is a charitable, not-for-profit, community service organization dedicated to putting Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. The Y strengthens the foundations of communities and families through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility in twenty-four towns and cities in the Greater Bridgeport and New Haven areas. Additionally, programs and services are offered through YMCA Camp Hi-Rock located in Mount Washington, MA.

Giving + Trust = Greater Impact My recommendations for supporting nonprofits this giving season: 1. Do your research. 2. Give wholeheartedly and with trust. 3. Know that no matter the size, your gift validates and fuels nonprofits for even greater impact. These have been top-of-mind for me since last month’s Town & Country Magazine's Philanthropy Summit when I joined fellow nonprofit leaders Cecilia Conrad of Lever for Change, Yolonda Marshall of the Student Leadership Network, Philip Chong of QARI, and Layla Zaidane of Future Caucus (formerly Millennial Action Project) to discuss the impact of MacKenzie Scott’s generous and unrestricted giving. Few have the resources to give as generously as Scott, but we all have the capacity to give with the same trust, goodwill and intentionality. We have a full heart! Our precious partner, Jordan's Furniture kindly donated 300 turkeys to the New Haven YMCA Youth Center. The Thanksgiving holiday is now a little easier for many families in our program and in our community.
