The Consulting Co-op of Central VIrginia offers philanthropy and nonprofit organizations the expertise and depth of a full-service consulting firm with the flexibility, responsiveness, and lower cost of individual consulting engagements. CCCV experts are proven in private industry, nonprofit leadership, and philanthropy, and bring diverse expertise across focus areas in the US and internationally. CCCV, founded by a community of practitioners in 2024, exists to serve emergent and established nonprofit leaders and philanthropies of all sizes.

    Growing up, I never imagined entrepreneurship as my personal path; however, I’ve found joy in being a multi-creative entrepreneur and an executive in nonprofit and educational settings. I’ve always thought, I have to do one thing and be great at that…false! Being an entrepreneur has helped me to grow and understand many facets of business and the nonprofit sector. Grateful for this purpose-driven path and the opportunity to support others along my journey. The most valuable lesson learned in business has been how to PIVOT. Life and business has its ebbs and flows, how you respond makes all the difference! “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel” -Dr. Maya Angelou COVID may have forced our studio doors to close, but the YOGA JOY doors are always open, moving about from school to school.     I’m excited to see this education become truly accessible! The U.S. higher education system has been successful because of its extraordinary variety. St. John’s is unique, and with emergent higher ed movements like micro-colleges, U.S. higher ed continues to be a model for innovation - even (especially?) when that innovation delivers centuries of wisdom, like SJC does with the Western and Eastern Classics, like Outer Coast with the Tlingit teachings, and so many more. #classics #highereducation #FirstPeoples #leadership #affordable #access #inclusionisinnovation

    Excited that this will take effect for students applying right now to enroll as January Freshmen. — "St. John's College has taken another step toward making the state’s only private liberal arts campus more affordable, with a focus on attracting more New Mexico residents... [The college] announced last month it would guarantee free academic tuition for domestic students from families making less than $75,000 annually, through a combination of federal and institutional grants." — Always happy to see St. John's visible in the Santa Fe New Mexican, especially when expanding access and affordability to an "education for all" often mistaken as an education for "the few." https://lnkd.in/gz-yFKh7

    📣The nutrition gaps in today’s public schools are tomorrow’s public health crises. Our kids shouldn’t grow up with routine caloric deficiencies - it creates lifelong health problems. I celebrate PepsiCo Foundation’s commitment to rural youth, but am also reminded that there are extreme limitations on what can be spent on food in public schools for students to receive free lunch (about $1.70 for food ingredients per meal) - often resulting in severe caloric deficiencies even if students eat full meals, which many won’t due to limited time or food quality issues. We have so many resources - hungry children growing up with poor bone health and muscular development shouldn’t be this commonplace, but it is. #PublicHealth #k12 #nutrition #publiceducation

    After several foot surgeries, they told me I’d never wear heels again. I tried, and for a while, it felt like the doctors were right. Cancer had taken so much, including the simple joy of wearing heels. Until 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 moment. This is why supporting female founders matters. This is me putting on my Sneex for the first time, and it felt like I was at the starting line, ready to run again. There’s supporting women—and then there’s 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔. A heartfelt thank you to Sara Blakely for bringing Sneex to life. These aren’t just heels; they’re a reminder that innovation, passion, and purpose can redefine what’s possible. Sometimes, “never again” isn’t the end of the story—it’s the beginning of a new one. Here’s to taking bold steps forward.     During my recent trip to Honduras, we signed an agreement with SENPRENDE, the National Service for Entrepreneurship and Small Businesses, to formalize a collaboration framework between our organizations to achieve common objectives. Considering that both organizations recognize the synergies of collaboration to enhance the support provided to early-stage entrepreneurs in Honduras, especially about three of the strategic pillars of “SENPRENDE” – Emprende Rocket, which are 1) Technical Assistance for Creating Scalable and Profitable Businesses, 2) Access to National and International Markets, and 3) Financial Linkage. Particularly supporting companies that include technology in their business model, allowing them to access the necessary resources through Global Development Advisors' investment readiness services. “SENPRENDE” and its Emprende Rocket program is a government-backed accelerator program aimed at nurturing and driving entrepreneurs throughout their business journey, fostering economic development and innovation.
