This holiday season, a strong Farm Bill is crucial in ensuring our neighbors have reliable access to the nutritious food they need to thrive. By strengthening programs like The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), lawmakers can make a lasting impact on food security, especially for families facing hunger during the holidays. These programs help bridge the gap for those experiencing food insecurity, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to gather around a full table. Let’s work together to prioritize food access for all, and build stronger healthier communities. 📨 Tell Congress to support a strong Farm Bill today: https://bit.ly/3UXCKoJ

Today’s turkey distributions in Williamson County and Waco demonstrate the incredible strength of collaboration in action. In Williamson County, staff from Senator John Cornyn’s office joined us to help provide turkeys to families. Meanwhile, in Waco, our partners at Shepherd's Heart helped distribute holiday meals to even more neighbors. These efforts are a testament to what’s possible when leaders, community partners, and supporters come together. Partnerships like these expand our reach and deepen our impact, ensuring more families have access to nutritious food. Thank you to everyone who helps us nourish lives and strengthen communities. Together, we’re building healthy futures for Central Texans. #CentralTexasFoodBank #CTFB

The Central Texas Food Bank is proud to join the Armed Services YMCA Killeen in celebrating the opening of the Five Star Food Market in downtown Killeen. Designed to serve active duty service members, veterans and their families, this pantry reflects our shared commitment to ensuring every neighbor has access to nutritious food and resources. With over 215,000 pounds of food distributed at the ASYMCA Harker Heights pantry last year, this new location expands our ability to strengthen the Killeen community and support those who have served. “I can’t think of anyone greater to serve than those who served us.” - CTFB President and CEO Sari M. Vatske A special thank you to keynote speaker and marine, Walker Bush for his support of this mission. By providing the food and equipment, we’re demonstrating how partnerships can create lasting change. Together, we’re reducing hunger in Central Texas.
