Did you know? Century Tywood J3 Corp stamps perforated screens in various sizes and various metals. Perforated screens are used in several different industries. Semiconductors are the most obvious, but they can also be used in the medical field and in the armed forces. Some of the screens we stamp are made from copper, bronze, brass, stainless steel, and steel. Sizes currently start at 0.182 and go up from there. Design for Manufacturing (DFM) involves designing products in a way that simplifies the manufacturing process, reducing production costs and improving the quality and reliability of the final product. By anticipating and mitigating potential manufacturing problems, such as selecting materials that are easier to work with, designing parts that are easier to assembly or reducing the number of parts, the design can be adjusted to ensure consistent and high quality production. The DFM process can be complex and challenging relying on effective communication between the customer and engineering and engineering and production. The engineering team at Century Tywood J3 Corp has been utilizing the design for manufacturing process since the beginning, even before it was named Design for Manufacturing, and works with the customer and production to simplify designs without compromising functionality from prototype to full production run.
