As some of us prepare to gather around our family, friends, and food this Thanksgiving, I felt like this was a good time to discuss giving Thanks and practicing Gratitude. Knowing me as you do, you know that I especially feel that is important as it relates to the power of Recognition and Gratitude in the workplace. Since I’m grateful for the impactful work we do at CEPHR, LLC and that we do it so others feel seen, heard, valued, and appreciated, here are some ProTips Gifts for you as you lead your teams and connect with each other as Colleagues: 👉🏾Give Thanks for a job well-done and for extra efforts folks have put in. 👉🏾Give Grace for mistakes and appreciate the learning opportunities that come from them. 👉🏾Allow workplace flexibility and autonomy in team roles and responsibilities. 👉🏾Deliver on what you say you will and follow up if you can’t or if there’s been a shift. 👉🏾Celebrate often- both the big and little things! These are some free and easy ways you can deliver Thanks and Gratitude while also positively impacting Engagement and Retention. Together, let’s commit to cultivating healthy Cultures that reward and recognize people vs focusing on productivity measures only. Everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, valued, and appreciated for what they bring to the table. If you are looking to incorporate Native American, Indigenous foods into your Thanksgiving, beans, squash, corn, quinoa, wild rice, and even wild-caught game are all great options! #Gratitude #GivingThanks #Thanksgiving #EmployeeMorale #EmployeeEngagement #EmployeeRetention
