Matt Samko, maintenance technician at our Courtright Complex, partnered with CF Industries and local grain and seed companies to grow soybeans on a portion of his family farm, which were sold to enable a donation of $13,000 to The Inn of the Good Shepherd - Sarnia, Ontario. The Inn provides services to those in need of food, shelter, and other essentials. We applaud Matt and all our employees who go and above and beyond to Do It Right. 👏

Progress continues on the construction of our CO2 dehydration and compression unit in Donaldsonville. We’ve successfully installed the dehydration equipment and one of the two compressors, along with the pipe racks and a significant portion of the piping. Our project team is now focused on finalizing the commissioning plans to ensure a safe and efficient start-up of the unit. Once operational, the unit will enable up to 2 million tons of CO2 per year to be transported and sequestered in permanent underground storage by our partner, ExxonMobil. Start-up of the project is expected in 2025.

We track progress on our environmental goals to ensure we are responsible stewards in the areas in which we operate, focusing on the entire ammonia production value chain. As such, we evaluate areas where we have a direct emissions impact, as well as where we can partner with third parties to address emissions that occur outside our facilities.

This November, the Northbrook Inclusion Resource Group teamed up with Feed My Starving Children to help pack nutritious meals for kids around the globe! Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit organization that brings together volunteers and donations to create balanced meals, working with partners worldwide to tackle hunger and malnutrition. Our efforts provided more than 36,280 meals, which feed roughly 99 kids each day for a year. Join us in making a difference!
