Bending the Climate Curve - Together

About us

Our Mission: Urgently impact climate change, at scale, by harnessing the power of Asparagopsis seaweed to reduce methane from cows. This is because we believe: * Climate change is real. Humanity is running out of time to act. Agriculture/methane is a significant contributor to climate change. * Nature can inspire and technology can deliver a meaningful difference. Seaweed is an unrealized resource that nature has provided to reduce methane in cows. * We are realists about convincing the world to do things differently. We want to make change as easy as possible. * We are certain that we can make a difference by bringing individuals, communities, governments and industry together. The company’s bold vision is for Zero Methane Agriculture by bending the climate curve. because cutting methane will significantly slow short-term global warming. CH4’s urgent initiative is to cut methane emissions from livestock by making available to the world sustainable, globally-scaled products containing a unique seaweed. This special seaweed, Asparagopsis, has over 10 years of research behind it and has shown effects of 60-90% reduction in methane emissions from both dairy and beef cattle and sheep. As we, at CH4 Global, work to make Asparagopsis products real, we are committed to doing this in a way that makes it easy for farmers to adopt and that will benefit communities where we aqua-farm. We are collaborating with local communities to ensure that all can benefit from our work. Our Management Team and Advisory Board come with significant research, development, marketing, large-scale production, distribution and investment experience in major global companies. We are based in USA, New Zealand and Australia.

Great to see Chipotle’s investment in CH4 Global making headlines, including the article below from Restaurant Business Online!🍽️ But there’s more to the story than methane reduction. Did you know that Asparagopsis, the red seaweed behind our Methane Tamer™ feed additive, doesn’t just cut methane emissions by up to 90% but can also reduce the feed energy lost to methane production in cattle? This means animals can derive more energy and nutrition from the same amount of food, while lowering their environmental footprint. What’s more, thanks to production cost efficiencies, we can deliver Methane Tamer™ to farmers at a price point that ensures profitability throughout the agricultural value chain. A win for farmers, consumers, and the planet. #FeedInnovation #Agritech #FarmProfitability #MethaneReduction

Nature has created a perfect solution for livestock methane emissions – and our team is now scaling it up. In my latest article for Feed and Additive magazine, I explore how Asparagopsis seaweed, which has been part of marine ecosystems for millions of years, is emerging as the most powerful tool for tackling methane emissions from cattle. This remarkable red seaweed can reduce cattle methane by up to 90% when used as a feed supplement at just 0.5% inclusion – far exceeding what any other approaches can achieve. At CH4 Global, we grow Asparagopsis using an innovative pond system and process it into our Methane Tamer cattle feed supplement, ensuring consistent quality and potency. We do so in a way that is more cost-efficient, enabling this natural solution to be both scalable and profitable throughout the agricultural value chain, without requiring government subsidies. As the world works to meet ambitious global climate targets, nature-based solutions that balance environmental impact with agricultural productivity have never been more critical. That's why we're focused on cultivating seaweed at the scale needed to make a meaningful impact on global methane emissions. I'm incredibly proud of the progress CH4 Global made in 2024 in advancing our mission to dramatically reduce greenhouse-gas emissions from livestock through our innovative seaweed-based feed supplement, Methane Tamer™.   Back in January, I wrote about how COP28 had finally put "food on the menu" in the global fight against climate change, galvanizing action to slash emissions from agriculture. I said 2024 would be the year when the real-world impact of solutions like ours would start to be felt. I'm thrilled to say that prediction has largely come to pass, thanks to the tireless efforts of our world-class team and the vital support of our investors and partners. Some of our highlights are:   The completion our first commercial-scale supply to CirPro confirming Methane Tamer’s efficacy, safety, and ease of use. This has evolved into a larger off take agreement for supply of up to 100,000 cattle to export reduced-methane beef from Australia, enabling us to significantly increase Methane Tamer production to meet growing global demand for low-carbon beef.   Complementing our existing partnership with global Corporate's such as South Korea’s Lotte, we created a new strategic partnership with UPL to bring Methane Tamer to millions of cattle in South America and India.   Of course, you can't have scale without production and so we built the world's largest commercial-scale facility for producing Asparagopsis seaweed, the key ingredient in Methane Tamer. That large-scale facility formally opens at the end of January in South Australia.   We launched a research collaboration with the renowned Scripps Institution of Oceanography to optimize and expand the cultivation of Asparagopsis, to ensure a robust supply as we scale.   And we were thrilled to be named one of Time Magazine's top GreenTech companies and one of Fast Company's Top Global Innovators for transforming sustainable agriculture, validating our approach and impact.   We're different than many in this field now as Methane Tamer uses the complete Asparagopsis seaweed that we grow and provides a stable, cost-effective product without the need to extract and concentrate actives or use synthetic materials of any kind – a key differentiator that builds consumer trust in a completely natural product.   And with the dedicated work of our people, for the first time anywhere in the world, farmers can achieve profitability with the use of Methane Tamer without the need for subsidies – a testament to the focus and dedication of our entire team to bring down costs and enable farmer profitability.   And so to our investors, partners, and farmers: thank you for believing in us, supporting us, and enabling us to build this global, scalable ecosystem. Your trust in us enables us to strive for stars and achieve benefits for people and planet. The best is yet to come!   https://lnkd.in/gtDiJmDD
