We're proud to partner with Solar Energy Services, Inc. to bring clean, renewable energy to the North Beach Food Pantry (NBFP) in North Beach, Maryland. 🤝 Next year, we’ll be working together to install a solar project on NBFP’s new building. 🌱💡 This will help NBFP save on energy costs so the food pantry can focus even more on their mission: providing dignity and choice to families in need. It was a pleasure to celebrate the start of construction at NBFP's recent groundbreaking ceremony! NBFP isn’t your traditional food pantry—they empower families by letting them choose their groceries from a curated menu, respecting their preferences and dietary needs while reducing food waste. 🍎✨ Together, we’re building a more sustainable future for our community. 🌞 #communityengagement #cleanenergy #renewables

Erica said, "All stakeholders need to align on the state's clean energy goals and take action so Arizona can become a leader in #renewables." Through Chaberton Cares, we’re proud to support nonprofits in the communities where our solar farms are developed. At last month’s Project Crestone groundbreaking in Harrington, Delaware, we donated $10,000 to the Delaware Chapter of the Sierra Club. The Sierra Club’s advocacy was instrumental in helping Delaware pass community solar legislation, paving the way for projects like Crestone and Blackburn (Magnolia, Delaware) to provide renewable energy to local residents. The organization's efforts have made clean energy more accessible and sustainable for communities across the state. 🌎 We’re inspired by their dedication to protecting our environment and advancing a clean energy future. This partnership highlights how nonprofits and clean energy companies can collaborate and make meaningful change. 💡 #communitysolar #cleanenergy #communityengagement

Another impactful day at #SolarFocus24!⚡️ On Wednesday, our Vice President of Development, Ryan Boswell, joined an expert panel for "Avoiding Permitting Pitfalls in Maryland's CPCN Process," moderated by David Murray of TurningPoint Energy. Ryan was joined by Bob Sadzinski from Maryland DNR, Kathy Poole from Dewberry, and David Beugelmans of Gordon Feinblatt LLC. Ryan emphasized the importance of early and meaningful community engagement, explaining: "We don’t always start with a warm reception, but demonstrating that effort has been really important. The more you engage everyone who will contribute to your success—and engage them early—the better your outcome." This sentiment sparked a thoughtful discussion among panelists about strategies to streamline the permitting process and how 2025 resource updates might reshape CPCN requirements. As we close out our time at Chesapeake Solar & Storage Association's 2024 Solar Focus Conference, we're energized by the actionable insights and strengthened connections we've established. Here's to building a brighter, cleaner future—together! 🌞 #cleanenergy #renewableenergy
