First trip to Toronto, and as I'm entering the country, the security officer asks me what I'm here for. I replied "an event", and he smiles knowingly...
"Taylor Swift?"
I wish 🫠
But actually maybe not: because I couldn't have been welcomed by a nicer group of folks and a lovelier venue for our first non-USA "Product Bites & Insights" event 🍁
Thanks to those who took a chance and registered and showed-up.
It can be uncomfortable: there's no agenda, you don't know else is going, it's effort to get dressed and leave a comfy home.
But I've seen that with a remote-first working culture a lot of our discussions are pointed, specific, and transactional.
We don't have time to wander sideways and tangentially, but that's where a lot of the step-level inspiration may lie.
And beyond that, finding community amongst smart and similarly-ambitious peers is key to having the support to get outside local maximums.
We'll be doing more events next year (London next week!) and I'll post about them so please follow me (Pulkit 🔔) and like/share to include others in your network 💚
