Anomaly detection software transforming drone-based infrastructure monitoring and lifecycle performance optimization
About us
ChangeAerial’s software exploits IP helping organizations transform how they inspect infrastructure. If detection is a key inspection objective, how do companies measure success? RSI©-enabled drone software helps organizations detect more asset anomalies with greater accuracy and scalability. Our software reduces aerial inspection costs by > 40% with > 40% more capacity, and can be deployed and integrated into monitoring programs delivering productivity value in weeks. Organizations detect more augmenting workforce intelligence with actionable insight driving new quality & cost value streams that measurably improve assets lifecycle performance with > 10x ROI. RSI© tools may be the only practical means for enabling large-area monitoring further enhanced with BVLOS & autonomous docking stations. Existing drone approaches endure inherent detection efficacy, speed, cost, & capacity performance constraints. Achieving accurate high confidence autonomous anomaly detection from non stationary image collection routines requires a different approach to existing practices. While numerous AI & even deep learning damage detection tools are becoming commercially available, they require thousands of anomalous training images. They are fueled by image data captured through manual flight with subsequent analysis of single-time images incapable of detecting damage associated with apparatus deformation or fine-scale damage. Our end-to-end digital approach & use of novel deep learning algorithms to exploit time-sequential images deliver more efficient, precise asset monitoring to improve performance compared to single-time, manual & AI-based approaches currently offered by competitive drone software platforms. Take an RSI© PoC monitoring challenge. Access ChA software to prove the costs & revenue benefits gained from autonomous detection. info@changeaerial.com

Excited to share that ChangeAerial has been awarded a National Science Foundation Grant to develop an AI model that integrates CNN single image date, and RSI enabled temporal anomaly detection models. Our IP portfolio is growing! We are a software and IP development company with deep domain experience, including >80 combined years in multi-temporal remote sensing. ChangeAerial's mission is to measurably improve detection of defects of infrastructure assets and enable accurate, frequent and scalable monitoring. We aspire to solve industry aerial inspection challenges, delivering tools that leverage our existing and growing IP portfolio. Our RSI IP was developed through federal grant funding totaling > $3M and published in >30 journal articles. We have five issued US patents, a pending PCT, International filings and pipeline of IP. The synthesized benefits of an integrated model will mitigate the inadequacies of existing overhead aerial inspection AI models and detection practices enabling a shift from infrequent inspection to high confidence monitoring and prefault/defect detection. Further, ChangeAerial's high-accuracy temporal anomaly detection complements existing AI models by locating otherwise unknown defects that can subsequently be used to train and expand existing defect identification models. Utilities recognize there are inherent flaws using single date AI models for defect detection and classification. Unknown numbers of untrained defects that cannot be detected dampen overall detection confidence. This confidence gap is presently mitigated through manual visual inspection that requires significant time of skilled workers, which undermines the intended benefits of automated analytics limiting productivity gains. With limited inspection capacity and detection confidence, the market is missing the right tools to do the job. RSI-enabled models provide catch-all detection. Any utility using single date models will be able to mitigate the known risks of missed detection through the integration/overlay of an RSI model. Are you attending the ESRI user conference in San Diego? #EsriUC2024 The ChangeAerial team invites you to visit our booth in the Startup Zone at the 2024 Esri User Conference and attend our presentation, to hear about exciting developments with N-SUITE software tools and our business in general. We’ll be in booth Z11 of the Exhibitor Hall Tuesday July 16: 9 am – 6 pm, Wednesday July 17: 9 am – 6 pm, and Thursday July 18: 9 am – 4 pm. Our presentation will be Tuesday July 16: 3:10 – 3:30 in the Expo Startup Zone Theater. Looking forward to catching up with you! Currently publicly traded US utilities spend > $134 billion a year to maintain a $2 trillion asset base with few dollars going to drive modest growth. There are 3,000 utilities in the US operating 200K miles of transmission lines and 5.5M miles of local distribution lines, composed of 160M active distribution poles and transmission towers. Less than 10% of the grid is inspected annually and the grid is expanding. This inevitably leads to the harsh realities of unforeseen maintenance issues and missed defect detection, unmitigated hazards, loss of life, service outages, and higher operating costs Current approaches, even those incorporating AI models, deliver insufficient capacity and overall detection confidence needed to drive a step-change in productivity. While AI models have improved aerial inspection, they are applied to a single drone image, that do provide valuable classification benefits, but also endure challenges such as requirement of thousands of training images, inadequate detection accuracy, and an inherent problem of not being able to train on every possible variation of every possible defect. Come hear how #ChangeAerial uniquely tackles this industry wide challenge. #EsriUC2024 Doug Stow Lloyd (Pete) Coulter Dr. Andrew Christopher Loerch Contact: Andrea@changeAerial.com https://lnkd.in/ekFD4S7Q
