Earlier this week, CNB leadership joined tribal leaders from across Oklahoma and beyond at the OSU Spears Tribal Summit — an important gathering focused on the key issues shaping the future of tribal governments and businesses. Our own Ben Blosch, Chief Investment Officer; Tim Roberts, VP of Corporate Strategy; and Adrian Sinclair, Plant General Manager of 1839 Cherokee Meat Co., led panels to share insights on business growth, economic sustainability, and agricultural and food sovereignty within the Cherokee Nation Reservation. A big thank you to Spears School of Business - Oklahoma State University and the Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association (OIGA) for hosting this event and creating space for impactful discussions that drive progress for tribal nations.

Our businesses brought #ThePowerOfPurpose to JA Inspire today! The annual two-day Junior Achievement of Oklahoma event gives local middle school students an inside look at new and exciting future career opportunities. Our booths featured interactive activities from Cherokee Film and highlighted the culinary skills of Cherokee Nation Entertainment's hospitality team, as well as community relations, human resources and Cherokee Federal representatives to talk about our businesses and our shared missions. We are a long-standing partner with Junior Achievement and are grateful to support the important work they do to inspire and prepare young people for future success in their communities.

The Cherokee Nation and our businesses recently donated 100K to the Tulsa Area United Way as part of our annual support to the nonprofit’s mission since 2013. “We are grateful to Cherokee Nation and Cherokee Nation Businesses for their continued support of Tulsa Area United Way. This contribution and their leadership lift up so many vital programs, 211 of Eastern Oklahoma in particular, ensuring help is there 24/7 to keep children safe, elders healthy and neighbors fed,” said Tulsa Area United Way President & CEO Alison Anthony. “Longstanding community partnerships, including with Cherokee Nation, mean we can provide services and improve outcomes for all our neighbors, including tribal citizens." The Tulsa Area United Way serves northeast Oklahoma through its 160+ humanitarian programs that support youth opportunities and healthy communities. Our contribution will be reinvested into our communities to improve the quality of life for thousands of people in need across northeastern Oklahoma and in the Cherokee Nation.
