About us

History CFE was founded in 1980 as the premier network for accomplished women leaders in finance in Chicago. The organization began with just 25 members and has grown to almost 200 today. Mission Statement: At CFE, we engage, enrich, and empower executive women in finance Our Goals • To actively explore and share ideas and expertise important to today's financial decision makers • Create a professional and personal community resource within its engaged member base • To contribute ideas, expertise and talent to the Chicago and global business community Our Approach CFE is member led and organizes itself via two important components. The first is its Exchanges, which are the forums that bring members together around five high level topical areas to share their ideas, expertise, and experience. The Exchanges generate the content which CFE programs are then developed and executed. Programs include professional speakers, intimate networking events, informal social, and philanthropic activities. The second component is CFE Committees, which provide the necessary organization and program support to CFE and its member activities. Both successfully come together to create programs and activities critically relevant to CFE's engaged membership base.
