A new scam has been reported in several states over the last few months, and unfortunately, it’s a sneaky one… ⚠ This scam, known as a "brushing" scam, occurs when someone receives an unexpected gift or item in the mail that they did NOT order. These gifts can include items such as rings, bracelets, necklaces, bluetooth speakers, etc. *NOTE: The package will have your address but will not include any information about the sender or be from a recognized retailer. When you open the package, you’ll often find a QR code that claims to reveal the identity of the sender.
