Comprehensive, actionable data are critical for addressing inequities within preschool systems that impact children, families, and workforce members. The Early Childhood Data Collaborative's STEP Forward with Data Framework aims to fill that gap by providing preschool systems leaders with guidance for assessing their preschool system, collecting and analyzing data, and identifying action steps for creating a more equitable preschool system. https://lnkd.in/eh2AXdWV

Respectful care takes patient-centered care to the next level. It prioritizes individuals’ needs and their desired health outcomes but also factors in how discrimination and systemic inequities can impact people’s sexual and reproductive behaviors and decision making. Jenita Parekh, Deja Logan, Elizabeth Wildsmith, Kylee Novak, and Ria Shelton interviewed family planning providers from Title X family planning clinics about how they promote respectful care in their clinics for their new Child Trends brief. https://lnkd.in/eW3T26Jd

In their new Child Trends brief, Elizabeth Villegas, Ph.D., Lauren Kissela, Gabriel Pina, Kathryn Leifheit, Yiyu Chen, and Eliana Perrin describe the findings from focus groups of mothers with young children who received pandemic-related rental and/or utility assistance. These findings informed the authors’ policy and program recommendations that can help ensure that support systems are both accessible and responsive to the needs of families with low incomes who require emergency interventions. This brief is the second in a two-part series about understanding the impact of emergency rental assistance on families. https://lnkd.in/eG9YpRVt
