Helping your child understand the difference between a secret and a surprise empowers them to know when to seek help. Predators often manipulate the idea of secrets to exploit children. Emphasize to your child that surprises should never make them feel unsafe or anxious. They should feel safe to share anything that makes them uncomfortable with their trusted adults.

Credit Union of Texas has been a long-time supporter of the Center and we couldn’t be more grateful for them!
