Nourishing hospitality workers' lives inside and outside the restaurant. CHOW is an organization of culinary and hospitality staff working to nourish their lives inside and outside of the kitchen. We create safe and supportive opportunities for the industry to connect and discuss problems they’re facing with people who get it. We are currently holding meetings virtually on Monday, Tuesday an Wednesday evenings. Everyone Is Affected by Sexual Violence. 1 out of every 6 American women has been the victim of an attempted or completed assault in their lifetime. About 3% of American men—or 1 in 33—have experienced an attempted or completed assault in their lifetime - RAINN “Sexual assault happens in every community. It can happen to anyone, anywhere. Sexual assault survivors are men, women, members of the LGBTQ community, children, the elderly, people with mental and/or physical disabilities.” In recognition that our community of food/beverage/hospitality workers is also a centerpiece in this demographic, this April we will be focusing on Sexual Assault Awareness. Please join us as we educate ourselves, learn, and listen alongside our community partners, in order to create a more sustainable workforce for food/beverage/hospitality workers.
