Vitriform3D is in the news again! We just completed our largest signage project to date, making a 4' x 5' logo for the new offices at IACMI – The Composites Institute. It took over 200 hours of labor for this to come together, and used locally recycled materials including carbon fiber from Endeavor Composites, Inc. and recycled glass collected by Fourth and Glass Recycling Co. We got some help from students in Uday Vaidya's research group in the Tickle College of Engineering at the University of Tennessee as well!
📣 STORY ALERT: “It’s been exhilarating and nerve-wracking at the same time, to have to think on your feet and do this kind of problem solving, but it’s worth it to see it all come together. This project feels like the BEGINNING of something.” That’s Alex Stiles, PhD, CEO of Vitriform3D. 👇 Read the full story behind his largest, most ambitious project yet -- a spectacular #composite hanging in IACMI's new headquarters at UT Research Park at Cherokee Farm. It’s a sign that does more than showcase IACMI’s logo. It represents one of the driving forces for #economic #growth: #collaborations. It could not have been possible without partners Hicham Ghossein, Ph.D. and Matthew Sausen from Endeavor Composites, Inc., Pablo Castrejon and Eric Johnston from Vitriform3D, Mandy Tietjen from Fourth and Glass Recycling Co., Hallie Cooper, Haley Henderson, and IACMI intern Kylie Corvin from Tickle College of Engineering at the University of Tennessee, and ZOLTEK.👏 https://lnkd.in/eEV_4ZqN
