Circulate San Diego led us on a 10 mile ride around Lake Murray after work tonight to wrap up 6 months of work. As part of our Office of Traffic Safety grant, Circulate helped us deliver a quick-build demonstration project, bike/scooter rodeos, safety campaigns, and walk/skate audits. I had a great time working with Silvia Croft , our student assistants, Bruce Appleyard, Cierra J., Carlisle D., Leslie Aparicio, and many others on this project. We also got acquainted with SDSU’s Center for Skateboarding, Action Sports, and Social Change. I’m looking forward to building on this foundation with the next grant cycle. This team delivered on a large scope in a short amount of time and engaged thousands of SDSU affiliates. Thank you to OTS for helping us build a culture of safety in our transportation systems!

It was fun reminiscing about the origins of Circulate San Diego last night at their member event at Gilly's House of Cocktails in North Park. Cook + Schmid facilitated the strategic planning and naming session with Walk San Diego and Move San Diego to support the creation of the new organization, way back in 2014. Congratulations to Circulate San Diego for 10 years of creating mobility choices and vibrant, healthy neighborhoods! Here's looking at the next 10 years of advocacy!
