We are all deeply saddened by the passing of Victor Menezes, a true Citi legend and an extraordinary leader in our industry. Victor dedicated over three decades to Citi, serving as senior vice chairman and in many leadership roles across the bank in over a dozen countries. Citi would not be the place it is today without Victor’s commitment, wisdom and deep integrity that so many will remember him for. Beyond his remarkable career, Victor was a mentor and champion of talent. He created the Menezes Technology Scholarship program to provide financial support to the children of Citi India employees and was a steadfast supporter of education and philanthropy, giving both his time and dollars to drive education and access for the next generation. On behalf of all of us at Citi, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Victor’s family and to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed, but his legacy will continue to inspire us.
