With over 10 years of experience in wellness, fitness, and public health, Oyah Kheperu brings a strong background in employee engagement, corporate wellness, and holistic health initiatives. A proud Alcorn State University alum, she previously served as Head Fitness Trainer at Spelman College, where she developed and led impactful wellness programs for students, faculty, and staff. She’s passionate about mindfulness, sound healing, and creating innovative employee wellness programs tailored to City of Atlanta employees. Christopher J. Tolbert joins the team with over 20 years in the fitness and wellness industry, having coached some of the world’s most successful professionals. A Wharton MBA graduate, he understands the importance of data-driven wellness strategies and brings first-hand experience balancing corporate demands with health and fitness. His background at Microsoft and Goldman Sachs has shaped his approach to sustainable, results-driven wellness solutions. He’s also a Master Personal Trainer, a former nationally ranked chess player, and a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. The Thrive 2025 Self-Care Workshop, hosted by the Mayor’s Office of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion team lead by Chief Equity Officer Candace M. Stanciel, M. Ed., provided an inspiring space for connection, reflection, and action today. Attendees engaged with affinity groups, created self-care plans, and set realistic wellness goals for the year.
