Grant funds help to provide additional parking in Adventure Park in 2025.🚗 Powell City Council has approved a parking expansion project at Adventure Park, 260 Adventure Park Drive, as part of its 2025 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). The project will construct over 80 new parking spaces adjacent to the Powell Pool. "The parking addition was planned to help accommodate the growing amount patrons visiting Adventure Park with the new pickleball courts that opened this fall," said City of Powell City Manager Andy White ICMA-CM. "The park is a popular destination in Powell, especially during the summer when the pool is in operation, and we want to ensure that it remains accessible for everyone." The project will also include street lighting and path connections that will improve access to our shared use path system, including the North Depot connection to Adventure Park through Morris Station that is planned for 2025. Approximately 75 percent of the $650,000 parking investment will be funded by a state grant. "It's important that we address the needs of our growing community with capital infrastructure that will support that growth and add convenience for residents and visitors," said White. Construction at Adventure Park is expected to begin in the spring of 2025. Learn more about the City of Powell's 2025 CIP here: https://lnkd.in/enrWvnHw

About us
What makes the City of Powell one of the best places to live in the United States? According to CNN/Money Magazine, our jobs, education, crime rate and access to leisure activities earned us that title. Since receiving that distinction, the accolades have continued. Early in 2010, Delaware County, the portion of central Ohio that Powell calls home, was named one of the "Best Places to Get Ahead" in the U.S. by Forbes.com. Forbes.com has also called Delaware County one of the country's five best places to raise a family, based on cost of living, reasonably priced homes, quality of schools and short commute times. Delaware County also finished No. 6 on CNN/Money's list of 25 counties that have experienced the most job growth in the last 10 years. And most recently, a Business Journals On Numbers survey ranked Powell 5th among 955 Midwestern communities for quality of life, ahead of any other Ohio city. You're at Home in Powell. Welcome Home.
