  • “It’s mission first, people always.” Brian learned this from his Master Sergeant while serving in the Air Force. Today, he applies that attitude as the Director of Information Technology for the City of St. Peters. He’s leading the team that keeps the City’s information network secure while making it accessible to the users. When Brian’s not behind a desk, he likes to de-stress in the saddle of his Harley Road King as part of a local Harley Owners Group that rides together and supports the community – including veterans in need. You can build a life and a career in St. Peters! Apply to become a Difference Maker today at www.stpetersmo.net/jobs

  • The people that we meet in our career journey can be just as important as the experience we gain through the work we do. Changing jobs doesn’t mean cutting ties, though. When Jill stepped into the position of Cultural Arts Leader for the City of St. Peters, she'd already made a lot of connections in the arts community around the state. Now? She could call on those colleagues to help grow the arts in our hometown. “It was not only a great personal opportunity for me to catch up with my colleagues, but also a professional one as well.” – Jill Jill was recently appointed President of MACAA, the Missouri Association of Community Arts Agencies, another achievement in an already impressive career. The relationships she developed before and since joining the City have helped her and the Cultural Arts Centre Make a Difference in the community.   Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Do you have what it takes to be a Difference Maker? 60,000 people need you!

  • Tragedy struck, and a family lost a child. Justin got involved. Now, people are finding it easier to adopt a child and raise a family. Perhaps those families will play one day on a ballfield that Justin helps maintain. Justin is part of the small Parks crew that takes care of athletic fields in St. Peters. He also facilitates Lead the Way leadership sessions for the Parks Department. And at the end of the day, Justin volunteers for his friends’ organization helping families with adoptions. His volunteer work helps create a legacy to honor the memory of the daughter that his friends lost. As a volunteer, Justin even learned how to create website content and videos featuring families who adopted a child. “It’s fun to go to their house and see them, meet the kids, and hear their (adoption) story. That’s what pulls on my heart strings.” Would you like to work with great people like Justin? We’re always looking for more Difference Makers at the City of St. Peters. • What do you do when a snowstorm dumps as much as a foot of snow on your town?   In St. Peters, our incredible snow removal team jumps into action working 24/7 through the storm. They’ll keep up the fight until the job is done, and they’ll be getting ready for the next wintry blast. That’s why our 60,000 residents know they can count on us—rain, shine or blizzard! We’re so proud of our #differencemakers! Your hard work helped an ambulance reach one of our residents twice yesterday when she fell at home. Our dedicated police officers helped countless motorists who had “fender benders” or needed assistance. Here’s what one of them said: “I also deeply appreciate how you and the other officers handled everything with such professionalism and care—it meant so much to me during a very vulnerable time.”   Thank you to our snow and ice control crews, police officers and other team members for working long hours around the clock to clear the roads and to all the #differencemakers providing essential City services. We appreciate you #makingadifference, no matter the weather.

  • “That’s the way we’ve always done things.”   Grant is the City of St. Peters’ Fleet Services Manager. He hates hearing that quote above—just because we’ve always done it this way doesn’t make it right. So, when Grant was given the freedom to update our Fleet department’s process for selling equipment, he found a better way. He switched from dealer auctions to selling through available online services.   The results of this change? A whopping 50-100% higher sale price per vehicle!   Our talented Fleet Services team also saves taxpayer money and keeps our fleet of 260 vehicles running through regular maintenance and custom repairs that would cost much more if they couldn’t do it in-house.   Thanks for keeping our vehicles rolling, team … you truly Make a Difference every day!   Want to be a Difference Maker too? 60,000 people are counting on YOU!   Apply today: www.stpetersmo.net/Jobs.
