We were excited to attend the Illinois Municipal League Annual Conference in Chicago last week! Hopefully, you had a chance to visit our booth or join our panel, "Protecting and Sustaining Statewide Water Resources." 💧 During the panel, we shared the results of years of collaboration and advocacy for the Mahomet Aquifer, highlighting the HTEM mapping project. This initiative will offer a detailed view of the aquifer’s boundaries, composition, water reserves, and its economic impact on the region. 🚁 A special thank you to our panelists—Illinois State Water Survey hydrogeologist Daniel Hadley, PG, City of Urbana, Illinois Mayor Diane Wolfe Marlin, and Champaign County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Laura Weis—as well as our moderator, City of Champaign Mayor Deb Frank Feinen.
